       One evening Mr. Green was driving his car along a country road. He had been to London where he had taken 250 pounds from the bank. He put the money in his pocket. At some part of the road a man is shabby clothes stopped him and asked for a lift. Mr. Green told him to get into the car and continued his way. He talked to the man and learned that the man had escaped from prison and thought of his 250 pounds.

  Suddenly he saw a police car and had a bright idea. He began to drive the car fast. He looked back and saw the police car nearing his car. It soon overtook him and he had to stop. The policeman took out his notebook and wanted Mr. Green’s name and address. Mr. Green wanted to tell the policeman about the robber sitting behind but man the took out a gun and put it to Mr. Green’s back. Mr. Green was afraid being shot so he said nothing. He only asked to be taken to the police station but the policeman said: “You will have to appear at the driving and went away. Then Mr. Green started up his car again. He thought his 250 pounds had been lost. When they were near a small town the robber said to Mr. Green: “You have been good to me. This is the least can do in return.” And he handed Mr. Green the policeman’s notebook.

Shopping

Shopping is a part of our daily life. And we go shopping whether we like it or not. There are people who like or dislike going shopping. So they make a list of what they need and buy the needed things. Sometimes some buyers even don't care about the price. But there are people who go form store to store looking for goods of better quality and lower price. But there is a very good service called Internet Market. It really helps you to save your time and get goods of high quality. You look through a catalogue, choose the things you like, order them                                                                                                          There are many kinds of shops in every town or city, but most of them have a food supermarket, a department store.

 I like to do my shopping at big department stores and supermarkets. They sell various goods: sausages, fish, sugar, macaroni, flour, cereals, tea meat and poultry, brown and white bread, rolls, biscuits.

A department store is composed of many departments: clothes, shoes, sports goods, toys, china and glass, cosmetics, cameras, records and other things. You can buy everything you like there.

I like to go shopping but not often. I prefer doing shopping with my mother when we buy clothes and presents
